Top Paid Celebrities of 2013

The Media giant Forbes has revealed the top paid celebrities for the year of 2013 and according to that list f amazing actors and singers, Madonna tops the list.

This is quite surprising for everyone as Madonna hasn't been doing so well lately with all her flops and failing records. Her latest album was MDNA and surely it was a flop. It was her 12thstudio album and less than a million copies were sold in the US which really is a great blow for such a famous star. Moreover, if you talk about her singles, such as “Give Me All your Luvin”, that too has failed to do any good to pop music.

However, there had been quite a popular tour that Madonna had arranged along with the release of the new album but certainly, people paid a lot to see her there. That too was not to listen to the hottest music of Madonna, but to her old songs such as Lucky Star and Vogue. This tour was a huge success for her and earned her a staggering $305 million return which gave her the top touring award of the Billboard Music Awards.

Then on the second place there comes the all famous director Steven Spielberg who ranks at second place at a $100 million. He makes a lot of millions every year by the huge variety of films he makes and the Universal theme park tickets.

The third place is tied for three people, all of whom are worth $95 million. E.L. James wrote the “50 Shades of Grey” which was a huge success and ultimately brought her to this position. Then there is Simon Cowell who has TV shows like ‘The X Factor’ and ‘Got Talent’. These shows also have a lot of versions in different places of the world, hence each version making him a different set of millions. The third person for third place is Howard Stern, whose investment is in Sirius/XM and has his own network there. And in spite of that, he also judges “America’s got Talent’ and makes around $15 million from there.

James Patterson makes the 4th place of the list with his $91 million a year. He can be considered as the amazingly successful writer of all times as he has more than 29 best-selling books on the e-books directory. And that is majorly where his mint comes from.

Glenn Beck and Michael Bay also make the list as the former works on the internet with news, his own website, The Blaze which makes a huge profit in his favor. While the latter will be back on track with the Transformers 4 next year.

Lady Gaga makes 80 million a year and her tours are driving in a lot of money while Tyler Perry is someone who makes money even from movies that do not hit hard on the screen. That is all due to his deal with Lionsgate Production to save Oprah’s OWN network.

Tiger Woods and Oprah Winfrey are also on the list and surely enough, they should be, as always.

Then there come Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr, probably the person with most fans in the world who makes $75 annually. And he is now the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Sportsmen like Roger Federer cannot be left out when talking about millionaires. Because Federer makes a huge $71 million profit each year.
